3)Do you like doing social work? Why/why not?

Answers : Depending on what job is to be done . I prefer cleaning up places than communicating with somebody who is unknown to me although there would be some experiences that could be shared together . This is because im not good in communicating and could only bring the mood down . Social work like teaching students is ok for me still . Besides fun, I also feels that social work can filled up our empty time rather then doing something which you can only gain nothing . Therefore, my opinion in social work is ok.

reflection week 12

Term 3 week 4

1)Why is it easy for burglars to break into stalls at the two markets in the Kallang area?

Answers :The burglars were able to break into the stalls as the top of the stalls were open. This is also due to their unwillingness to install safety lock to their stall.Besides that,it also cause a huge amount of money if they were to renovate their stall and insert safety locks and grilles. Therefore, most stall owners does not think about the importance of adding locks to their stall as what they think is important is the huge sums of money they have to spend on .

2)What is the Geylang East Central Merchant's Association going to do about the break-ins?

Answers :They wanted to change the the arrangement of the stall. They also encourage the stall owners to make a changes in their stall. Its better to spend on money for safety reason then losing the sums of money and became a victim of thieves.

3)What do you think should be done to tighten the security of the markets? What do you think of the burglars who brazenly break into the stalls?

Answers : I think that it would be alot safer if they could install a camera in each stall so that if they became a victim, police could easily identified the suspect. This could also help the police by making their work alot more easier. In addition to the stall owner,it would be better if they do not keep their money in the stall. This is usually the cause where they could lost a huge sum of money due to carelesness. The stall owner must also not forget to lock their stall after work time.Mostly, this happens due to workers or stall owners carelesness.I think the burglars who love to break into stalls have nothing better to do .They are either jobless or in debt.Burglars usually find this way a short cut method to solve their debts. For those who are jobless, they take this as an advantage to make money easier.Burglars could be either stupid or lazy for me.

Q1 )What are some of the things that schools in Singapore are doing in order to take care of the environment ?

Answers :Some schools ask their students to bring their electricity bills from home to track their month to month energy use and teach them to save energy . Some schools also emphasize on issues like energy conservation and climate change .Schools like Elias Park Primary contribute fruit peels to the school's 3 compost bins , which can convert food waste into fertilizers , and teach the students about recyclable materials . Commonwealth Secondary also has its own wetland , which treats grey water from bathroom sinks and study the wetland's plants and animals . Marsiling Lower Secondary students do experiments like testing air quality in their school and Nanyang Girl's High School ban cardboard takeaway boxes and bring their own instead .

Q2)Do you think one person's effort in reducing , reusing and recycling will make a difference in saving the environment ? What steps have you taken in the effort to save the Earth ?

Answers : Yes,it would make a big difference. For examples: paper.More trees might not have been cut down if we reuse the paper instead of throwing them after they are not needed.Water can also be reuse. But people does not intend to use it. Therefore, more water are used. This could also effect the lack of water that the world are facing.Steps that I have taken is reusing.
Paper which are not fully used can be used for maths working and other thing such as draft paper.
